More Valkyries. A command Hearthguard unit as well as one with Dane Axes. The heroes cover the general Warlord as well as any Heroes that my daughter might want to take. In their first game, the Valkyries/Jomsvikings soundly trashed my sons Vikings!
My daughter asked me for a SAGA warband but wanted women. So after some searching I went with Shadowforge Valkyries models. I am using Jomsvikings rules which seems to reflect their elite/angry style. Some minor conversions gave me four units of Hearthguard plus some additional models that are in progress.
This is the last of my Man-o-War fleets. Somehow, I never finished it during the “Great MoW Burst” of 2010. Like the other fleets, the sails are printed on fabric to keep a cloth-like texture.
These were some old MDF kits that I bought years ago. Finally finished them up. The runny paint on the first one isn’t that noticeable in reality, but still frustrating (just saw it in the photos 🙂 ).
One more for the road. Pretty straightforward but with a little chaos altar hidden away in the basement.
This has been on my painting station for far too long. Another building for Mordheim. The foundation was made from Hirst Arts stones and the rest is balsa and foamboard.
Ragnar Lothbrok and, inspired by the great Vikings TV series, his brother Rollo (old Gripping Beast model).
To accompany my growing SAGA collection, I got myself some simple MDF buildings. A bit of texture and fur, and they made a nice dark age village for Vikings to raid.
