Medieval Europe

This force does double duty to cover the central European factions in Age of Crusades or systems like Baron’s Wars. Using early medieval 12th and 13th century equipment, these figures can be used for for just about any European or Crusader army. The figures are mostly plastic from Victrix and Wargames Atlantic.

Heroes: The mighty lords of the realm(s) come mounted or on foot. I have included Bishops and various historical nobles for variety. The foot contingent has a multi-base model to match my Saga collection as well as single figures for other rule systems – including King Richard I the Lionheart of England and King Philip II of France.

Hearthguard: Twelve colourful early medieval knights form the centre of this force.

On foot, the force includes 24 dismounted knights with regular and heavy weapons.

Warriors: Like the knights, the dismounted serjeants come with spears, regular and heavy weapons. A mounted contingent of serjeants is available as well.

Levy: Crossbowmen and archers can be fielded as levy or warrior units depending on the army list so I included 18 of each, as well as a half dozen slingers..

Finally, we have a dozen peasants with hand-weapons which can be fielded as pilgrims in Crusader lists.
