Tzeentch Group Shot

Tzeentch is the neglected little step child in my chaos collection. Not only is the smallest army but also the least painted. Once completed its supposed to be 2800 points for the Thousand Sons (Black Legion list) and 1850 points for the Lost and the Damned.

Left column, front to back: Retinue with Rhinos, Flamers, Discs of Tzeentch

Middle left column, front to back: Havocs with Rhinos, Dreadnoughts, Thousand Sons with Rhinos, Deathwheel

Middle right column, front to back: Magnus the Red, Daemon Prince, Lord of Change and Firelords (the big empty flying bases – models are lying on the right of the bases), Silver Towers, Doomwings

Right column, front to back: Coven with Altar, Coven, Fire Support squad, Feral Titan and Warlord Titan

I don’t even have a 40k “big brother” for these guys. I felt so bad that I took a pic of the other “blue” 40k army in my cabinet. At least there is comfort in colour-matches.

Khorne Feral WIP

Slow but steady progress on the Khorne Feral Titan. I extended the multi-layer domed head from the resin face piece and smoothed out the torso walls. The back piece is cut out from a plastic Ork Stompa with the tiled roof part removed. Most of the side of the torso will be hidden by the weapons so this is getting close to the finish line.

Epic Chaos pics

The Chaos legion has grown large enough to warrant god-specific pages. I removed the combined “Black Legion” page and added pages for Nurgle, Slaneesh, Tzeentch, Khorne and Undivided (Iron Warriors). They can all be found under Games & Armies\Epic Armageddon. The pages include all the new photos from the last few months of the ToEG competition as well.

Epic Battle Report

I put a quick Epic battle report into the Battle Report section of the site over here. Enjoy.

Slaneesh Group Shot

The Slaneesh army is noticably smaller than the Khorne, Nurgle and Iron Warrior monstrocities. It also still needs a fair bit of work. The open space in the top left is for a few more inbound Noise Marines to allow me to find a decided Emperor’s Children force. The top right is the corner of shame where all the base coated stuff sits (minus a Questor Scout Titan that is still in the spray booth.

Left column, front to back: Retinue with Rhinos and Daemon Prince, Noise Marines with Rhinos and Havocs with Rhinos

Middle left column, front to back: Fire Support squad, Daemonettes, Mounted Daemonettes

Middle right column, front to back: Keeper of Secrets, Sentinels (the Eldar Wraithlord models), Hell Hound tanks

Right column, front to back: Coven with (missing) Altar, Coven with Chimeras, Knights and Subjugator Scout Titans (an unpictured Questor Scout Titan)

Total of 2235 points for the Lost and the Damned variant and 1850 for the Marines (Black Legion list). The Emperor’s Children fan list gets to use stuff from across the tray so that probably comes in a 3000 points or more.

I also took a quick snap of thier bigger brothers: My Warhammer 40k Emperor’s Children force. Long long out of date with the current edition.

Altar of Slaneesh

The mighty Altar of Slaneesh is ready to lead the hordes of the pleasure seekers. More info on the conversion here.

Khorne Feral Titan WIP

I am slowly converting away on the Khorne Feral Titan. The wheel base is from a very old 40k Khorne Blood Slaughter. The arms are from the same model (power fist) and a Epic Ork Gargant (chain saw). The head is a resin cast of I think an old Juggernaught of Khorne from 40k. Right now everything is just pinned together and crudely green stuffed for the torso “volume”. Adding the rest will be a major challenge for my minimal green stuff sculpting skills.

Nurgle Plague Zombie Test

Next on my painting list are 20 Plague Zombies. The models are from the Exodus Wars range. Any comments on the colour scheme?

Nurgle Group Shot

Another tray close to completion. Larger picture available if you click on the image. There is a bit of room left to add the Plague Tower and Contagion Engines. Unlike the Iron Warrior and Khorne tray this one might even have some spare room left over at the end.

Left column, front to back: Retinue with Rhinos, Plague Marines with Rhinos, Deathwheel and Decimator

Middle column, front to back: Terminator and Great Unclean One, Mortarion, Dreadnoughts and Chaos Hounds (rats), Havocs with Rhinos and Plaguebearer, Spawns and Rough Rider, Armoured Company with Land Raiders and Blight Drones.

Right Column, front to back: Mutant Coven with Altar and Big Mutants, Mutant Coven with Big Mutants, Plague Zombies, Plague Titan

All total this comes to 3952 points for the Deathguard (Black Legion list) and 1570 points for the lesser minions (Lost and the Damned). This counts the Daemons and Titan with the Deathguard, so this is basically a 3000 points list either way. Makes a decent dedicated Deathguard list too.

Khorne Followers Group Shot

People seem to like the group shot so here is another one.

Mighty Khorne’s Minions on a tray. Click on the pic to embiggen (is that a word?). Those empty spots are for a few more inbound Berzerkers (on the left) and a bunch of Land Transporters on the right (still needing to be converted). On the left are the World Eater and on the right their lesser followers from the Lost and the Damned.

The World Eaters come in at 4380 points including the (shared) Daemon pool (Black Legion list) while the minions come in at 3075 points (Lost and the Damned list). Some combination of the two forces can also make a fairly large World Eater force based on their dedicated fan list.

Left column, front to back: Terminators, Berzerker, Retinue with Rhinos and Daemon Prince, Defiler and Armoured Company with Land Raiders.

Middle left column, front to back: Bloodthirster, Dreadnoughts, Chaos Hounds, Juggernaughts, Flesh Hounds, Bloodletter, Greater Brass Scorpions and Lord of Battle, various Daemon Engines and Cannons of Khorne.

Middle right column 2, front to back: Bikers, Objective, Blood Slaughterer and more Daemon Engines

Right Column, front to back: Mutan Coven with Altar and Big Mutants, Mutant Coven with Big Mutants and Hell Hounds, Mutant Coven with Big Mutants, and even more Daemon Engines

Khorne has also provided a larger scale force, so here is a quick shot of my Warhammer 40k World Eater army of many years ago (early 2000’s). I am still planning to paint that Land Raider and the last two Biker (who am I kidding…).
