Medieval Pavisiers (Saga)

I recently acquired the tools to make high quality decals – both printing them and generating suitable images. Where possible, I like to support artists so most of my shield decals and flags are from commercial suppliers, but I am now able to cover designs that aren’t available. Below are examples from this month. All for Saga Age of Chivalry.

German Pavisiers

Prussians half done

With the latest batch of artillery – shown below – , I have not only completed IV Korps’ infantry and artillery, but also reached the half-way mark for the Prussians!

Specifically, I have now painted 1,309 Prussian figures with 1,288 left to paint. Those break down into 763 infantry left (1,042 painted), all 328 cavalry, 121 artillery figures (180 painted), and 76 command/other figures (87 painted). Getting this far has taken 8 months from the first painted Prussians in late September 2024. Slower than the Anglo-Dutch, but I am still cautiously optimistic that I can finish up the Prussians in 2026.

To celebrate this half-way mark, here is the grand old man, Marschal Vorwaerts, Generalfeldmarschall Gebhard Leberecht von Blücher Fürst von Wahlstadt with his staff officers.

Tau Expedition

Many years ago, I received a small bag of Tau figures from a neighbour’s kid who had briefly dabbled in the hobby. The figures were in rough shape – glue blobs and thick enamel paint – so I put them in a box for a long slumber. Nearly two decades later, I found them during clean-up and thought I would do a quick side project in a Grimdark style which might hide some of the blemishes. This small group could represent a Tau expedition entering Necromunda.
