With the Prussian cavalry and artillery completed, it’s back to the infantry. I finished 2. Infanterie Regiment with the usual three battalions, skirmishers and attached volunteer Jaeger.

Over the last few weeks I finished the cavalry regiments of the Prussian IV Korps for my Waterloo collection. Close-up and unit details can be found here.

With the latest batch of artillery – shown below – , I have not only completed IV Korps’ infantry and artillery, but also reached the half-way mark for the Prussians!
Specifically, I have now painted 1,309 Prussian figures with 1,288 left to paint. Those break down into 763 infantry left (1,042 painted), all 328 cavalry, 121 artillery figures (180 painted), and 76 command/other figures (87 painted). Getting this far has taken 8 months from the first painted Prussians in late September 2024. Slower than the Anglo-Dutch, but I am still cautiously optimistic that I can finish up the Prussians in 2026.
To celebrate this half-way mark, here is the grand old man, Marschal Vorwaerts, Generalfeldmarschall Gebhard Leberecht von Blücher Fürst von Wahlstadt with his staff officers.

Prussian 15. Infanterie Regiment
I have kicked off my the second phase for my 28mm Napoleonic Waterloo project: the Prussians! Oberst von Crailsheim commands the 15. Infanterie Regiment with two battalions of musketeers, one of fusiliers, and the regimental skirmishers. I will set up a page for the Prussians once I have a few more painted. All in, this will be around 2,400 figures which should keep me entertained for a year or two. Off we go!
