I managed to photograph and upload my old Warhammer Empire army. Still adding some units over time, but mostly done. 500+ strong souls for Sigmar!

A birthday gift dropped an Imperial Roman army into my lap so: Hail Caesar, here come! The painting effort was fairly efficient due to the relatively low detail of the Warlord models compared to overloaded Games Workshop styles that I am used to. Very satisfying to be able to knock out a full army in a few weeks. I already bought a few hundred Gallic/Celtic/Germanic/Dacia/Sarmatian models so that these doughty Romans will have opponents. Here is to painting 500+ naked dudes…

More Orcs. One of the chariots has boss-like model in the back just in case I want to ever uses it as a character mount. Both have been upgraded to the “modern” boars to fit in with the rest of the horde. At the bottom is an old school Orc Shaman. 
More core formations for the mighty Waaagh.
When the Warhammer World was killed by Games Workshop, I impulsively bought all the armies that I didn’t have yet (and all available models for each such army…). So now I am stuck with a few thousand Warhammer models. Slowly working my way through the pile with the Orcs first in the lineup. First some core infantry units – one of 30 (including a looted cow…), one of 25 (including a pig carrying barrels which is hard to see in the back now that I look at the photos 😦 ). I decided for irregular basing which fits with the wild style of the Orcs.

A small new fleet of Imperial Fists are up. Painted a month ago (and still needing decals for the smaller craft. Any leads on a smaller Imperial Fist icon decal would be welcome!).

These are mostly old models though the Chaos and Imperial fleets have been semi-recently upgraded with another 20+ extra ships between them (mostly “newer” models beyond the original rule book options). The Imperials are actually entirely repainted because I couldn’t reproduce the old blue colour and I am picky that way…
