While in steady decline, the Roman Empire is still a force to be reckoned with in the Age of Invasions. I won a box of Gripping Beast plastic figures during a SAGA tournament which formed the basis of this Warband.
Heroes: The Romans can be led by a Warlord on foot or mounted, with some optional figures made from the left-over parts in the Gripping Beast box.
Hearthguards: The Roman cavalry – the Equites – offer mobile punch for the Warband. Their dismounted counterparts are the Palatinae.
Warriors: The Pedites – Roman unarmoured infantry – can be armed with bows, spears, or fielded as horse archers.
