Unlike their historical counter-parts, my Normans were quite slow in arriving in England. I bought the warband at the launch of 1st edition for Saga based on Conquest Games plastic boxes and then promptly left them in storage for 15 years. Finally done, they join the Age of Vikings collection.
Heroes: The warband can be led by a conventional Warlord – mounted or on foot – or William the Bastard, later the Conqueror.
Hearthguards: Mounted knights are the core of the Norman force, but a dismounted unit is available just in case.
Warriors: The warriors are a mix of mounted warriors, spearmen and crossbowmen.
Levy: The Normans can drawn on the generic Levy Pool to gain supporting archers as needed.
