Germans

This force represents the Holy Roman Empire during the late 15th and early 16th century. The figures are all from Perry Miniatures. The collection represents a force associated with the city of Nuremberg with some associated nobility. I focused on yellow and black core colours with a few red accents and pastel secondary elements.

Heroes: The army can be led by all variants of Warlords – mounted, mounted with barding, and on foot. The foot command base has been converted to show the Warlord studying a message while his bodyguards look on.

Warlord riding a barded warhorse, warlord on foot with command group, and a mounted warlord without barding.

Hearthguards: The men-at-arms of this era would have been in transition from nobility to professional soldiers. I used a wider mix of colours to represent this.

Warriors: Large units of Knechte (warriors) form the backbone of the German forces. The Nuremberg flags are from War Flags or custom made when commercial choices were exhausted. Similarly, I made custom decals to tie in with the theme of my army using ChatGPT.

Levy: The levy category of the German list is limited but important.
